What is a VAPA Foundation Grant

VAPA Foundation Grants are $500 to $2,500 in funding to help San Diego Unified School District teachers fund visual and performing arts materials and learning opportunities for their  TK - 12 classrooms.  Examples include, artist in residency programs, VAPA-related professional development, field trips to museums or galleries or performances, arts assemblies, or art materials or musical instruments if not provided by the school.

Who may apply?

Teachers currently employed at a San Diego Unified School District school with a current teaching credential may apply.

What do you fund?

You may apply for funding for artist in residency programs, VAPA-related professional development, field trips to museums or galleries or performances, arts assemblies, VAPA learning related materials, or musical instruments.


IMPORTANT:  Funds may not be used for activities/programs/materials covered in the school budget. 

Who reviews my application?

Each application will be reviewed by the VAPA Foundation Board and members of the VAPA Advisory Council.
