The mission of the VAPA Foundation is to enhance the quality of, and access to, visual and performing arts education for K-12 students in the San Diego Unified School District.
The VAPA Foundation was established in 2017 by a group of concerned parents, school administrators, educators, and community members that recognized the need for more arts education in San Diego schools. This first-of-its-kind partnership between a public charity and the San Diego Unified Visual and Performing Arts Department provides an opportunity for partnership between the arts community, private supporters, and the philanthropic community to address gaps in school funding and bring quality arts education programs to K-12 students.
The purpose of the VAPA Foundation is to increase access to and enhance the quality of arts education in the San Diego Unified School District.
