March 7 – April 8
Reception March 16
4:30 – 6:30 PM
This year we are, once again, welcoming TK-12 student artwork back in the district office for the annual TK-12 SDUSD student art exhibit. 400 works will be on display from 3/7-4/8 on the 2nd floor of the Eugene Brucker Education Center. This annual display celebrates the creative and critical thinking skills being developed by students of all ages from across our district. This year, approximately 400 students have work on display in a wide range of materials, subjects, techniques, and voices. Art teachers throughout the district are providing impactful, standards based instruction, so that our students can express themselves and tell their stories effectively through the visual arts.
Last year, due to the pandemic, this exhibit was completely online, so that our students could still be recognized and this year, there is also an online exhibit to supplement the physical exhibit. This makes the celebration of student work accessible for those that can not attend the physical exhibit. It also serves as a shareable advocacy tool that emphasizes the importance and power of arts education in the lives of our children.
There will be a reception for the exhibit on Weds, March 16 from 4:30-6:30 pm on the 2nd floor of the Education Center.
